Marina & The Diamonds

These guys are like the CATCHIEST POP EVER.
(and then some). I've been listening to this all week, but even if I hadn't, their tunes would've still be hanging around in my head.
Sounds wise... well, I was gonna say they were like an even better version of Thingy and The Machine (is it Florance? Something beginning with F, anyhow), but then I remembered I hadn't actually listened to Thingy And The Machine's album yet, plus I think it's kinda electronic based.
And Marina & The Diamonds aren't really electonicy at all, which is great. I mean, they have a keyboard in there you're made very aware of- it's used fantastically in all their songs, but the vocals, the drums, the overal feel- that's pretty organic. In fact, the single is called "I am not a robot". And I think the front woman has said something about Lady Gaga being souless.
I agree, but not in a bad way, cause I think dance tunes when you're drunk and half numb inside SHOULD be souless. I mean, I already think electronic stuff is mostly souless, so.. it fits, I guess.
But whatever, right now you should be downloading MARINA & THE DIAMONDS. Then go buy their stuff, see them live, ask the various band members to engage in sexual congress with you.
(In case you're interested, that little download link had the Obsessions Single, with it's B Side, and the 'I'm Not a Robot' song, with some remixes that do, in fact, make her sound like a Robot.)
