Teeth - You're My Lover Now

When I first listened to this album, I was walking back from this guy's house, slightly too high, and in a fairly unfamiliar neighborhood.
It wasn't the greatest idea I've ever had.
The sudden attack clash of gypsy music on the first track scared the hell out of me. I became hella paranoid, and for a good half of the journey home, I seriously believed that I was being followed by someone who wanted to steal my shoes. My beautiful new pop art influenced puma high tops. And their sparkling red laces...
No, so there was a point to this story, other than I get really paranoid sometimes (I also started imagining that the guy whose house I'd been at had actually put this album on my mp3 player to purposely freak me out/warn me of the on coming shoe thieves), it was that the first track is gypsyfied and scary.
Oddly enough, on subsequent re-listenings, it's not really that scary.
Which means the previous back ground story was even more pointless than usual.
So what they play is actually really good rock, with various instruments. They've always got a beat, and a hella good melody.
Just don't listen to them high, I guess.
